Tejas Express: India's first private train: Uttar Pradesh Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the country's first private train Tejas
Express in Lucknow. Chief Minister Adityanath said, "This
is the first corporate train in the country. I congratulate the first
passengers traveling in it, and I hope that a similar initiative will be taken
to connect other cities also." Tejas Express is the first train to be
operated through a private company.
Time table of Tejas Express:
The Tejas Express,
which started its journey from October 4, was flagged off by Uttar Pradesh
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. Commercial running of the train will
start from October 5. The Tejas Express will run from Lucknow at 6:10 am and
reach New Delhi at 12:25 pm.
It will leave from New Delhi at 15:35 and reach
Lucknow at 22:05. Tejas Express will run between New Delhi and Lucknow six days
a week except Tuesday.
How much 'Tejas Express' fare will cost you:
The
minimum fare from Lucknow to New Delhi in this train is Rs
1125
for a chair car and Rs 2310 for an executive chair car. For the journey from
Delhi to Lucknow, the AC chair car ticket will be Rs 1280 while the executive
chair car will cost Rs 2450. At the same time, AC chair car ticket from Lucknow
to Kanpur will be Rs 320. Food will also be provided on the journey from Delhi
to Lucknow, so its fare is slightly higher. The Railway Board is considering running such trains on other routes as well.
If the Tejas Train gets delayed, you will be compensated.
Passengers traveling by
private train 'Tejas Express', if the train does not deliver on time, then the
passengers will be compensated instead. IRCTC has already announced about this
private train 'Tejas Express' running between Delhi and Lucknow.
According to
the railway subsidiary, if this train is late by its scheduled time, the
passengers will be compensated. According to this rule, if the train is late for more
then an hour, the passenger will be given a compensation of Rs 100 and if
the Train is late for more than two hours, then a compensation of
Rs 250
will be given. Not only this, the passengers of the train will also be given
insurance of 25 lakh rupees. Apart from this, if looting or theft of goods
happens during the journey, then one lakh rupees will be given as compensation.
Tejas Express is equipped with advanced features:
The train will have
facilities like a plane with personal LCD entertainment-cum-information screen,
onboard Wi-Fi service, comfortable seats, mobile charging, personal reading
lights, modular bio-toilet, and sensor tape fittings. The train will have an
executive air-conditioned chair car, with 56 seats and 9 air-conditioned chair
cars, each with 78 seats.
Currently,
53 trains including Swarn Shatabdi
operate on the Lucknow-Delhi route. Tejas Express running from Ahmedabad to Mumbai can be started soon after
Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express.
